Match Report
Quite a dour match not helped by the condition of the Abbey Hey pitch. FC looked disjointed throughout due to the number of ‘new’ faces in the starting line up. Lee Ellis opened the scoring and FC just about had the better of the first half. The second period again was a poor spectacle but in the last 20 minutes Grappenhall lifted themselves and had long periods of pressure and the Warrington side deservedly equalised through Danny Sisson in the last minute following a mix up in the homes sides penalty area.
So a disappointing result but a good work out especially for man of the match Dave Chadwick.
Special mention to Jamie Rother the youngest player in the squad on captaining the side for the first time.
