Daisy Hill
1 - 4
FC United of Manchester Reserves
Attendance: 56
A strong mix of academy players and triallists went to Daisy Hill and came away with a 4-1 win. FC United goals were scored by Jack Ward Robson Brown (2) and Jamal Branker with Matthew Davison netting for the home side.
FC United dominated first half possession but had only one goal to show for their efforts. That came in the third minute when the Daisy Hill keeper was too slow to clear his area. Ward nicked the ball past him and it trickled in to the net.
The second half possession was more even but it was the visitors that made more use of it. In the 62nd minute a pinpoint cross from the right wing by Rico Gomes was chested down by Brown and fired back across the keeper. The third goal came shortly afterwards when the reds were awarded a penalty. Rhys Coogan having his heels clipped and Brown slotting under the keeper to his left.
Daisy Hill got some reward for their effort in the 82nd minute when Davison finished off a neat move. If they were hoping for a strong finish such thoughts were quickly dashed as the reds went straight up the other end and Keiron Glynn fed Branker to slot home.
