‘You alright chief?’ is a grassroots men’s mental health and friendship group based in North Manchester and Oldham. Founded in memory of Steven “Bobby” Rounthwaite, we exist to combat loneliness and create safe spaces for conversation, connection, and support.
Through monthly meet-ups, community events, and initiatives like our ‘Alright to Chat?’ benches and pub spaces, we aim to break the stigma around mental health—one conversation at a time.
We’re proud to sponsor FC United and share a common belief: that football, like community, is about more than the game. It’s about being there for one another, showing up, and building something bigger than ourselves.
Whether it’s a pint and a quiz, a race night, or just a walk and a chat, we’re here to remind every bloke that it’s okay to not be okay—and there’s always someone willing to listen.

We are Improving Young Lives, an alternative education provision based in Manchester. We're committed to supporting young people who struggle to engage in mainstream education. We offer tailored 1-to-1 programmes designed to meet the individual needs of each pupil, focusing not only on academic progress but also on emotional wellbeing, personal development, and future prospects.
Our dedicated team of experienced learning mentors specialise in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and understood. Through a personalised approach, we help young people build confidence, develop essential life skills, and take positive steps towards their goals. North Manchester FM 106.6
North Manchester FM 106.6 is a community radio station, broadcasting to the communities of North Manchester and beyond. All of our presenters are volunteers who are trained at the station, providing a platform and a voice for the local community.
We have been on air since July 2009 following a decade of temporary broadcasts across North Manchester. Most of the people we work with have little or no prior radio experience.
We are a Community Interest Company, almost entirely volunteer led and managed by a Board of Directors who are also volunteers. We have a small staff team who take care of the day-to-day operations and manage our community and media projects.
