Holiday Draw – January 2012

We have no contact details for Alison so if anyone knows Alison can they please ask her to contact the FC office so that we can arrange to get her prize of £1,000 of Co-op travel vouchers to her.

The holiday draw contributes over £2,000 per month to the DF and will be open to new members towards the end of the season.

Holiday Draw Winners – November and December

Christine Cottrell is a member of FC United, and mother of an midfield dynamo you might know… Congratulations, Christine!

David Atherton is the November holiday draw winner and receives the usual £1000 of Coop holiday vouchers.
David said ” It was fantastic news to hear I had won this terrific prize after several years of making regular monthly payments, 
Although the win is a bonus for me personally – I have always recognized that monthly standing orders are absolutely crucial to the development fund and getting our own home. I would urge any members who do not have a standing order to set one up as we enter this key period of making final approaches to grant funders. 
The DF is the key to the door of our new home!”
We are indebted to our friends from Kendal Town FC for making the draw this month.

Holiday Draw Winners – Sept & Oct

The 2011-12 holiday draw got underway this weekend with the September and October draws made by Barry Hipkiss the Chester FC President. Our thanks go to Barry for making the draw for us, and at least ensuring two FC fans got a result this weekend!

September’s winner is Peter Thwaites and October’s winner is Stephen Riley. Both Peter and Steve have been in the draw for a long period and it is fair to say that both were pleasantly surprised when we contacted them with news of their wins.

With ￡1,000 each towards travel this year both can settle down this week and plan some exciting trips !

July DF Holiday Draw Winner

The lucky winner of the Development Fund July Holiday Draw is Mr John Owen. We don’t know what he’s planning to spend his winnings on yet but are sure he’ll have fun doing so.

June Holiday Draw Winner

Sterl’s initial reaction was that it was a wind up! He and all his mates that he travels with week in week out to FC games are all in the draw and they had been saying recently it was about time one of them won!

The draw was made by Jim Budd who is director of Singleton Clamp and partners who are currently providing FC with professional and invaluable advice around transport planning for the proposed stadium in Moston.

May DF Holiday Draw Winner

We would like to thank Kendal Town Treasurer, Merrill Tummey for making the draw on our behalf. Mrs Williams wins £1,000 of holiday vouchers to spend with Co-op Travel. She was delighted with the news and says she  is ‘looking forward to a nice break in the sun.’

March Holiday Draw Winner – Ronald Leigh

The March Holiday draw winner is Ronald Leigh! The draw was made at our home game against North Ferriby United by our guest for the day, Kenny Lynch, the singer and entertainer, who had enjoyed the company of many of you at the previous night’s Gala Dinner. Ronald was delighted with his win and said “that after the tension and excitement of this run in he was probably going to need a holiday!”

The April Draw (no 8) will be made at the final game of the season against Kendal when hopefully we will all have something to celebrate!

DF Holiday Draw – February Winner

On hearing the news of his win he said “Oh that’s good news, I fancy going to the greek island of Rhodes, for a bit of sun”.

Helen Brown wins January’s Holiday Draw

The winner of the £1,000 of Co-Op Travel holiday vouchers is Helen Brown. Helen said that it was “fantastic news” and is looking forward to choosing a holiday later in the year. We would like to thank Brian Holms, President of Hucknall Town for overseeing the draw and ensuring fair play.
