Jack Lenehan has left FC United as he has decided that he would like to increase the amount of first team football he plays.
He is not at this moment going to another club, but will be sure to sign for someone very soon. Paying tribute to Jack, Neil Reynolds said
"Jack has had a superb pre-season, and had been really good for us over the last year. He’s a great athlete, has a superb attitude and anything we’ve asked him to do he’s been happy to carry out for us. He’s competing for a place in one of the strongest midfields in the league, all of whom are in superb form right now, and he needs to get regular game time to keep his development as a player progressing. He goes with our very best wishes and whichever club gets him is getting a gem."
Jack was a youth team player at Rochdale and left after u/18s to join Chorley. Last season he went on loan to Prescot Cables to get first team experience, where he played under Brian Richardson, with whom he made the move to FC in the summer of 2019, creating some magical moments, particularly the cross into the box to put the ball on a plate for Chris Doyle in the last minute win against Lancaster.
