Updated: Cup Final Information

FC United of Manchester v Curzon Ashton, Thursday 3rd May 2007, Kick Off 7:45pm.

Parking:

In addition to the parking at the ground, there is ample parking on the Hollywood Bowl site on Lord Sheldon Way, for those coming from the Manchester and M60 route, and at the opposite end of Lord Sheldon Way on the Sainsburys (adjacent to IKEA) car park, if travelling from Oldham and Ashton centre.

Both are a 10/15 minutes walk from the ground. As it is anticipated that the car parks near to the ground will soon be full, this may be a better alternative and supporters would clearly get away easier once the game is over.

It should be noted that with local elections taking place that situated on the corner of Richmond St and Knowl Ave is a polling station and the car park here is strictly for voters only. Richmond St is also residents parking only and with the amount of police activity in the area as a result of the election anyone leaving their vehicle on this road is liable to find a ticket on the windscreen upon return.

Car parking is entirely at the owners risk and all drivers are requested to co-operate fully with the parking attendants.

Please be aware of transport and access to the ground.

Turnstiles:

Tickets are marked with a map of the ground with details of entrance points.

Covered Terrace access through turnstiles C & D
Richmond Street End access through turnstiles D & A
Motorway End access through turnstile B

Turnstiles open at 6:15pm; please arrive in plenty of time to avoid queues at the turnstiles.

Merchandise:

There will be a range of FC United merchandise available to purchase on the day of the game.

Friendship scarves and badges will be on sale as well as flags and championship
t-shirts.

Flags:

Flags can be placed on the front crush barriers. No flags can be placed over the hoardings.

FC United would also like to ask supporters to keep walkways clear at all times and to work well with the stewards.

Bar:

The bar in the clubhouse will be closed at 8.45pm and admission after this time is strictly by invitation only.

Please note that the bar is strictly no smoking.

Self Policing:

As observed at Gigg Lane supporters are asked to respect the club, Curzon Ashton and the League by keeping off the pitch.

The celebrations would be disrupted and even cancelled if this happens.

After the match

Dennis, Landlord of The Old Fire Station in Ashton, has kindly applied for and been granted an extended licence until 1:00am on our behalf following the League Cup Final.

If you attended the Blackpool Boogie Night then you know where it is, but if you didn’t it’s opposite the Market on Wellington Road just near the Wetherspoons.
