Kamran Hussain appointed as FC United Women’s First Team Manager

Kamran Hussain appointed as FC United Women’s  First Team ManagerFC United of Manchester is delighted to announce that Kamran Hussain has been appointed women’s first team manager.

Hussain joins us from National League (step 3) side Guiseley Vixens and took training for the first time last night ahead of the new season.

UEFA B licenced coach Kamran joins us with experience from spells as a coach with the Saint Paul Soccer Association in Canada, as Bradford City Women’s U15s coach and as Community Coach with the Huddersfield Town Foundation.
Last season Kamran was Development Team Coach at National League side Guiseley Vixens until the club unfortunately disbanded at the end of the season following financial difficulties that will see it liquidated over the summer.

Kamran is employed as a schools coach for City in the Community and as a coach for the Manchester City Academy.



Speaking about his appointment Kamran highlighted; “It is an incredible honour to be announced as the new manager of FC United Women! FC United is a family club with big ambitions for the future of their women’s team and this was evident from the moment I came in to meet the girls, see the facilities and discuss the long term plans for this squad”.

“From the backing of the club to the large fan base, it’s great to see a women’s team at this level with a professional set-up and setting high standards for themselves”.

On the season ahead, he said; “I see so much potential in this group. I’m excited to get started and see how far we can go together”.



The women’s team pre-season programme is close to being finalised and supporters have just over a week to wait for the new era under Kamran Hussain to commence.
