FC United Women - 2018/19 league position

Following a decision made by the respective FAs earlier today, our second place finish in this season’s NWWRL Premier Division has been confirmed.

After a number of meetings to review our abandoned league fixture at Merseyrail Ladies in January and having followed the relevant letters of the law, the score will stand as the one at the time of the abandonment.

With the score reading 4-4 at that time in the game, both ourselves and our opponents have recieved a point each from the fixture.

The result means that we finish our first ever season in the fifth tier in women’s football in second place, with 53 points from 20 games.

We would like to thank our supporters for their patience in the game’s outcome being resolved and for all your support throughout the league campaign.

The league season may now be officially over but our 2018/19 camapign is far from done - we face Salford City Lionesses in the Manchester FA Women’s Challenge Cup Final on Wednesday night (7.30pm KO) before Sunday’s Argyle Cup Final against Stockport County Ladies on Sunday (4pm KO).
