SQUAD NEWS: Louis Myers

We are pleased to announce that forward Louis Myers will be part of Neil Reynolds plans for the 2019/20 season.

The 21-year-old joined FC United from Radcliffe in February this year, making his debut on 9th February at home against Altrincham. Myers featured in the last eight games of the season and scored his first goal for the club away at Alfreton in April.

Myers who was brought up, and still lives in Moston, began his football career playing for Moston Juniors and Northside JFC and attended Failsworth High School. He had spells with Blackburn Rovers, Rochdale, Fleetwood, Chorley, before joining Radcliffe in January 2018.

Speaking of Louis Myers, Manager Neil Reynolds said “I have decided to retain Louis as I believe we have an exceptional talent. What strikes me about Louis is his love and passion not only for football and FC United but also, that he wants to be the best he can be. He has fantastic attributes and I believe we have a real diamond that we will continue to develop. I am sure Louis will be a huge success at FC United.”

Louis Myers said “I’m absolutely made up to be asked to stay at FC for next season. Being from Moston myself I’ve seen the club and stadium grow and always thought to myself ‘I want to be a part of that one day’ and here I am. When Neil phoned and said he wanted me to sign again for this season he knew what my answer was going to be. I didn’t need much convincing and I’ll do everything I can to help us bounce straight back up to where we should be.”
