Match Preview: Leamington v FC UnitedWe are back in league action this weekend after a two week break from league football, as we travel to Leamington to hopefully pick up three points and go into the festive period on a high note.

The friendly against Chadderton was a great success, as it allowed the players to keep a level of fitness as well raising money for a good cause. A hat-trick from new our new frontman Chris Sharp was key as we put six past Chadderton, which would only give Sharp that added confidence.

In our last league game, we picked up a vital win at home against local rivals Curzon Ashton, which saw us escape those relegation places. Goals from Josh Wallen and top scorer Kurt Willoughby secured all three points for us as we head into the game against Leamington However, we have to keep up momentum as teams below us have games in hand over FC.

Our league form over the last five games have seen us pick up three wins and whilst unfortunately picking up two defeats.

As for our opponents, Leamington, they are currently in 12th position with 27 points from a possible 57 having finished 19th last season, just beating the drop by three points.

In their last five games in all competitions, they have picked up two wins having drawn twice and losing once to Hartlepool United. As it pertains to their home form, they are have won three out of their last five home games at the New Windmill Ground.

In the reverse fixture of this game, The Brakes ran out comfortable winners at Broadhurst Park in a 2-0 win, with goals from Kieran Dunbar and Matt Stenson giving Leamington the victory.

The two players to watch out for from an FC standpoint are strikers Colby Bishop and Matt Stenson. Former Coventry City player, Stenson currently has six goals in the league along with Bishop who has scored a goal in the league on average every 78 minutes.
