FC UNITED -v- SOUTHPORT - Match Arrangements

FC UNITED -v- SOUTHPORT - Match ArrangementsOn Saturday 8th September, FC United play Southport in the National League North at Broadhurst Park kick off 3 pm.

Coming back from 0-2 down to draw against BPA last Sunday has given us a little hope that things will improve from here on in.

Last season this match resulted in a 1-0 win with a Tom Greaves goal settling the encounter backed up by a good goalkeeping display from Lloyd Allinson.

Admission is by payment at the turnstiles which open at 1.30 pm.

Before the turnstiles open, admission can be gained via main reception on production of your season or match day ticket or by cash payment of the match admission price.

For those wishing to attend the SMRE reopening (see below), one of the St.Mary’s Road turnstiles will open at 12 noon.

Admission prices are as follows

£12 Adults,
£7 Concessions
£ 3 under 18s.

RESERVED SEATING IN THE MAIN STAND

Supporters will be able to reserve seats in one block of the Main Stand on a first come first served basis, by calling the FC United office on Friday 7th September on 0161 769 2005. A maximum of 4 seats can be reserved per person. Those who have reserved seating need to collect a wristband from the FC United office accessible through the main reception on the day of the match. These wristbands will only be available until the kick off time of the match.

PLEASE NOTE the new match day safety procedures below.

In order to avoid congestion around the tunnel and technical areas, the number of persons occupying the space during any game going forward will be limited to club staff only.

The decision to restrict movement of supporters across the technical areas at all times is for the benefit of the players, officials and match day staff who are working on any given match day.

It will enable staff to assist supporters with mobility issues should they need to make their way through this area prior to the game.

Please do take into account these new match day procedures as it is paramount that we are able to move quickly through these key areas of the ground should the situation require it.

There will be a Board surgery in the Function Room from 1.30-2.30 hosted by Lawrence Gill.
If you have any issues or questions regarding the operation of the Club these can be raised then.

There will be 4 bars open for this match

The Main Stand Function Room Bar will serve hot food together with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks before, during and after the match. We ask that fans purchasing alcohol in the Main Stand Bar during the game do not congregate at the back of the Main Stand, but instead find a position in the seats or on the terraces.

Before the turnstiles open, access to the Main Stand Function Room is via main reception on production of your season or match day ticket or by cash payment of the match admission price. After the turnstiles open, entry to the function room will be via all turnstiles and then through the seated area of the Main Stand.

Our Cask Ale Bar situated under the Main Stand, behind the Paddock, will sell a selection of real ales. Opposite the Cask Ale Bar the Dry Bar will also serve hot food and non-alcoholic drinks.

POUND FOR THE GROUND TICKETS

We are still raising money for the club’s Development Fund as we wish to carry out small ground developments and improvements to make the match day experience more enjoyable. Pound for the Ground tickets at £1 each help do this, and with two cash prizes of £200 and £50 on offer you are not only helping the club but, if successful in the draw, being rewarded for doing so!! See any of our trusty band of sellers inside or outside the ground.

BP BOOST

This season the new Development Fund debt buster initiative BP BOOST replaces the old barrels collections from previous years.

The barrels have been rebranded for this season so please continue to deposit loose change and notes into them.

There will be a stall in the SMRE bar where supporters can pick up their BP BOOST fundraising pack and ask any questions of the volunteers. The stall will be open until kick off and at half time.

We are under a duty to ensure areas such as St Mary’s Road and the north of Nuthurst Road are not used by visitors to Broadhurst Park.

Supporters should be mindful that there is no parking on:

- St Mary’s Road and the streets off St Mary’s Road; including Teddington Road, Merridale Road, Worthington Street and Tymm Street.

- Nuthurst Road;

- the West side of Moston Lane and the streets off it.

We can always use more volunteers to act as traffic marshals and indeed for a number of matchday functions, so if you can help, send an email to volunteers@fc-utd.co.uk or telephone the office on 0161 769 2005 and leave a contact number.

Enjoy the game.
