FC Foreign Currency campaign

FC Foreign Currency campaign

The foreign currency collection in the barrels since the start of the 2016-17 season has just broken the £1000 barrier: a total of £1015 has been collected, sorted, exchanged and added to the Development Fund.

FC United use a broker who will exchange both banknotes and coins. Even obsolete pre-Euro notes and coins can be dropped into the barrels and our small team of volunteers will count, sort and get them changed into cash for the DF.

Let’s all make a big effort to find our hoard of unused and lonely spare change coins and notes brought back from holidays which are now just a distant memory and turn them into useful cash for the club’s Development Fund.

Aged over 55 and old enough to remember shillings and sixpences?

Even British coins from pre-1971 decimalisation can have some value- look for those old shillings, sixpences, florins and half-crowns and we can exchange these too. Also the large 50p, 10p and 5p pieces withdrawn from circulation more than 20 years ago can be cashed in.
