ANNOUNCEMENT - Drinking in view of the pitch now permitted on Broadhurst Park’s terracesFollowing discussions with GMP and Licencing, FC United are pleased to announce that after weeks of negotiations and a subsequent licence application we have been granted permission for consumption of alcohol within view of the pitch at Broadhurst Park.

Our supporters are accustomed to enjoying this facility when we visit other grounds in our league and now they can enjoy the pleasure of a pint whilst supporting the lads from the terraces at Broadhurst Park.

The club asks supporters to be mindful that this facility can easily be removed if people do not respect the ground regulations and that it will lead to problems if those regulations are not adhered to.

Commenting on the recent agreement, the club CEO Damian Chadwick says; “I met with GMP and licencing over the summer to start these negotiations and I’m pleased that licencing have granted this variation of our license. I know our owners will respect our ground regulations but let’s be under no illusions that the main reason the authorities have backed this move is we could demonstrate the good behavior of our supporters both inside and outside the stadium at Broadhurst Park. This will now be monitored and supporters should be aware that if this leads to problems the permissions will be removed."

"This is our club and we can now enjoy a beer on the terrace watching the match and I am confident we can all conduct ourselves in the right manner to ensure this stays in place.
The club will continue to review its bar arrangements and are keen to give supporters what they want; this is the first stage of a wider match day offering which will be introduced in the forthcoming weeks.
On Sunday let’s get out onto the terrace to cheer the lads on???
