Reserves top of the table clash
FC United’s first team are not in action this weekend due to the postponement of the Formby away fixture, but our top of the table Reserves team face a crunch match away against second place Colne.
Tony Cullen’s youngsters have lost just one match so far this season, but on Saturday they face their toughest test yet with a tricky trip to the Holt House Stadium to take on Lancashire outfit Colne, who are just six points behind them in the league.
The game will be pay on the gate and Colne are charging their usual entrance fees for reserve games which is £2 for adults and £1 for under-16s and OAPs. Kick off is 3pm and a map to the ground can be found at Colne’s official website.
The day provides a good opportunity for supporters to check out some of FC United’s emerging stars and both sets of players will no doubt appreciate the chance to play in front of a bigger than usual crowd.
