Travel and parking information for the Stockport County match

Travel and parking information for the Stockport County matchWe want everyone to get to the ground easily for the Stockport County game on Tuesday whilst minimising disruption associated with match day travel. This is why we are encouraging people to use public transport whenever possible to minimise traffic in and around Broadhurst Park.

Please familiarise yourself with the travel information below.

Football special buses from Manchester city centre

First buses will run football special buses from Stevenson’s Square in the Northern Quarter, (Stop TE). The price for a single fare is £1.50 which you will need to pay to the driver when boarding the bus. The buses have wheelchair access.

Departure times
Stevenson’s square:
18:45 and 19:00

Broadhurst Park:
Buses will be waiting on Lightbowne road after the match, ready to leave once they are full.

Metrolink
You can get the Metrolink tram to Newton Heath and Moston (Rochdale line) where there is a FREE Shuttle Bus to the ground. http://www.fc-utd.co.uk/travel/hub

Parking
Parking around Broadhurst Park is very limited.

If you are travelling by car, we would like to encourage you to park at Manchester Creative & Media Academy (MCMA) . Not only does MCMA offer you safe off-road parking, it will also help us to reduce congestion around the ground. Other benefits of parking at MCMA include:
- FREE and frequent shuttlebuses to and from the ground
- Easy access from the M60
- The cost of parking is only £3!

You can also park on:
• St Matthews School (M40 0EW) 150 spaces - £3
• Broadway Pub (M40 3NL) 40 spaces - Free
• Bluebell Pub (M40 9PY) 45 spaces - Free
• FC Lounge Moston (M40 9JQ) 40 spaces – Free

There is also on street parking along Lightbowne Road, Nuthhurst Road (south side only) & Moston Lane (east side only - do not park on west side of street)

You MUST avoid parking on:
• St Marys Road and streets off it.
• The west side of Moston Lane and all the streets off it – you can park on the Broadhurst Fields side.
• The residential streets off Nuthurst Road.
