FC United to play pre-season summer friendly at Whitby

FC United has arranged to play a pre-season friendly this summer against Whitby Town on Saturday 25 July 2015. The match will take place at Whitby’s Turnbull Ground and the kick off time is 3pm.

FC United board member Alison Watt said: “FC United don’t usually visit Whitby in the summer months and our recent trips there have been when the weather has been cooler, so we expect many supporters to make the trip and possibly even stay over by the seaside. If the sun shines then a great weekend is in prospect I’m sure.???

Graham Manser, chairman of Whitby Town, said: “We don’t normally have pre-season friendlies with teams in our league but we’re backing FC United to go up this season so we don’t expect this to be an issue. We’re really pleased that FC are coming over to Whitby when it’s not cold so your supporters will be able to go on the beach and hopefully stay in the area for a short break.???

A visit to Whitby at the height of the summer season for a seaside away trip should be well worth making. Supporters’ coach travel details will be announced in due course.
