FC United v Workington AFC match admission

On Tuesday 17 March, FC United will play Workington AFC, currently in fourth place in the Evo-Stik League, and pushing for top place themselves.

The match will be played at Curzon Ashton’s home ground at Tameside Stadium, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, OL7 9HG, kick off 7.45pm.

We anticipate that there will be a large crowd for this match so please assist our volunteer turnstile operators by arriving early and entering the ground by the correct turnstile.

Three turnstiles will be open (unfortunately turnstile 4 is broken and cannot be mended before the end of the season).

Two turnstiles 1 and 2 near the statue will take cash:

Turnstile 1: Concessions £5, Juniors £2. Families that need to stay together can go through this turnstile.

Turnstile 2: Adults only £8

Turnstile 3 at the other end of the car park will take season ticket number 21 and complimentary tickets.

Access for wheelchairs and pushchairs will be through the steward’s gate to the left of the statue.

The early gate will be turnstile 2 and will open at 6.15pm. All categories accepted.

The late gate will be turnstile 2 and will stay open until at least 8.15pm. Full price entry will apply while the late gate is open. All categories accepted.

The upstairs bar will be open. All car parks will be open and, as no parking charge will be made, supporters are asked to park at the ground until such time as the car parks are full. Supporters are asked to park considerately if they have to park elsewhere.

Toilets will be available in the club house, and at both ends of the main seated stand. Spectators using the main terrace will probably find it quicker and more convenient to use the toilets at the far end of the seated area (by walking behind the goal at the far end of the ground).

Public Transport

The nearest tram stop is Ashton West, the last stop before Ashton-under-Lyne on the Eccles to Ashton line. Trams will run every 12 minutes throughout the evening. The stop is six or seven minutes’ walk from the ground.

The nearest train stop is Ashton-under-Lyne, the first stop on the Manchester Victoria to Huddersfield. It is about a mile from the ground.
