Development Fund collection at Ilkeston game is best of the season so far

The Ilkeston home game on 10 March 2015 attracted FC United’s largest midweek attendance of the season and also saw the highest Development Fund collection of the season to date.

Our Pound for the Ground sellers sold 765 tickets and after deducting £200 for the winner, £565 went into the DF. There were three winning tickets:

- Ticket number 238 won the £200 and was claimed during the game
- Ticket number 625 won the Fudge Village hamper and is not yet claimed
- Ticket number 913 won the breakfast for two at Boggart Hole Clough café and is not yet claimed.

A big thanks to Fudge Village and Swampy who will be donating their prizes for the four remaining home games.

The barrel collection on Saturday was a ripper once again. Thanks to our supporters’ generosity we raised £540. £77 came from our catering volunteers from donations for tea and coffee in the main bar, £253 in change arrived from a regular contributor, £64 came from exchanging foreign stuff and we also had the usual array of bags notes and coins. Once again we collected a rake of foreign oddments that will be turned into cash in due course.

This means that the DF gained a grand total of £1,105 from the Ilkeston game. So, the running total for the Development Fund at home games so far this season now stands at £13,124.

A tremendous effort from all concerned. We now have just four home games left for you to root out that loose change and old holiday money and bring it along for the barrels. No matter how big or small, every penny counts for the season’s last big push.
