Apply for FC United's fundraiser post - closing date this Monday

FC United is looking to appoint a fundraiser to help us complete and secure the capital funding package for our new ground.

Since its founding in 2005, FC United has enjoyed success both on the pitch and in its community endeavours. The club has formed nationally recognised partnerships with public, corporate and third sector organisations leveraging support and investment into the Manchester area.

We have a strong track record of fundraising, the bed rock of financial support given by our membership and supporter base has demonstrated an unshakeable belief and drive to establish a home of our own. Our aim is to build a club that will be a beacon of supporter ownership and a symbol of what ordinary people can achieve when working together. This support has allowed us to develop a breadth of external funding streams including a mix of grant, community shares and loan stock.

This post presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced communicator and fundraiser to help us to complete the last piece of the jigsaw. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to FC United’s ethos and values evidence of past fundraising achievements.

The right individual will be an effective communicator, outstanding relationship builder and target driven showing the same commitment and enthusiasm already demonstrated by our supporters and members. Candidates should be able to evidence experience in the following key areas:

- Ability to inspire and drive grassroots fundraising campaigns.
- Campaign planning and execution.
- Research and identification of prospective funding partners to support core aims.
- Achievement of fundraising targets.
- Bid writing.
- Initiation and stewardship of long term fundraising relationships.

The post holder will join a committed team and will work with the General Manager, Board members and key volunteers to enhance and develop the club’s existing fundraising efforts.

The post will be on a short term contract. Rate of pay negotiable dependent on experience. For a full job description and person specification email office@fc-utd.uk
