Minithon - join Margy and the players on our stroll of honour

Fresh out of hospital, club press officer, Andy Walker and Minithon organiser, Phil Frampton on his crutches, have signed up for the 19 October FC 5k Minithon & Sponsored Walk to raise funds for the club. Yes, that’s how much we need the funds! If you can walk or crawl, you can join Margy on the course around Boggart Hole Clough. If you can run, you can challenge last year’s fastest player, Tom Greaves or his team mates. We are expecting a bumper turnout of both players and supporters as the club goes on display in the first north Manchester Minithon to raise funds for the club and our partner charity, ACE. We are also being joined by Moston Juniors, who in a fine gesture have agreed to raise funds and divide them between their club, FCUM and ACE.

Sign up now here and come to Boggart Hole Clough to “Run, Walk or Crawl??? to raise funds for the club – and, boy, do we need the money! Prizes this year again include Best Headgear, Best Dressed Entrant and Branch, Fastest Dog & Owner etc - all given out at the After Run Social in the scenic Lakeside Café.

This year entrants again have the option of raising funds entirely for FC United, entirely for our partner charity, ACE, or jointly for ACE and FC United together, as you and your friends and family will see when you register. More info here

You can back any of the runners and riders below. Hipster Phil Frampton (£485) is battling out the lead with John Bradley (£408) who is drawing away from A Baglady (£275). Nick Dixon (£120) leads the chasing pack followed by Andy Walker (£110). Newcomer, Craig Lindfield (£40) leads the players stakes followed by Andy Welsh (£20).
