Calling all FC Diggers - Its time for a verge tidy Up (part 1)

Back in May a group of volunteers met to launch a gardening and planting group for Broadhurst Park. Lots of great ideas and activities were discussed for the new ground.

The first activity is going to be this coming Saturday, 28th June at 10am. The plan for the day is to tidy up and weed the verge under the trees, just north of the entrance on Lightbowne Road.

As its the first activity the group will be taking a leisurely approach. This shouldn’t be too back breaking as its not a major piece of work. However it will give us all a chance to meet up and have a chin wag and discuss a few ideas.

There should be enough gardening tools to go around, but if you’d like to bring your own rake, fork or other equipment feel free to bring it along.

Dress appropriately for manual work and keep an eye on the weather forecast.
