Doodson Sport League Cup Second Round

The second round tie of the Doodson Sport League Cup between FC United of Manchester and Ashton United will be played on WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER at STALYBRIDGE CELTIC.

Bury FC are carrying out a number of remedial works to the pitch at Gigg Lane the week of the tie and therefore it is not available. We did ask if the tie could be switched to an away match but unfortunately Ashton United’s pitch is also unavailable.

After looking at various options it has been decided that the match will take place at Bower Fold on Wednesday 4th December. Due to Stalybridge Celtic’s involvement in the FA Trophy there is a chance that a reply would take place on Tuesday 3rd December.

We know that this may cause some inconvenience to supporters but with winter and bad weather approaching we did not want to delay the fixture.
