Sponsor signs on for the Development Team in 2013/14
The club is pleased to announce that Chauntry have agreed to renew their sponsorship of FC United’s youth /development squad for the coming season. The parking systems IT specialist was one of the club’s first ever sponsors coming on board in Summer 2006.
General Manager, Andy Walsh points out: “Chauntry’s sponsorship has been of huge benefit to the club ’s youth policy. Not only can we now boast young internationals, many members will not realise that over the seasons of Chauntry’s support our Youth Team has won a series of honours including thrice being winners of the North West Youth Alliance League Premier Division and once runners up, winners and runners up in the league’s Premier Division Cup, three times winners of the Manchester FA Counties under 18s Cup and once of the North West Youth Alliance League’s Open Cup.???
Chauntry Director, Ray Vaughan, explains: “We decided to become the club’s Youth Team sponsor because the establishment of the team espoused FC United’s principles of engaging young people. Football authorities identified a need for additional teams for young people in the 15 to 18 age range, many young people leave the sport at this crucial age in their development. Playing for the Youth Team keeps open teenagers’ focus on health, excellence with the opportunity to progress to the FC United first team. The link with The Manchester College has strengthened what we can offer young people and we are proud to continue our association with FC United.???
