Help wanted with an U19s League

FC United’s community team have established three new under 19s teams each based in an inner city area of Manchester. The teams compete in a new under 19s league run by the Manchester Amateur Sunday League.

The initial success of this new league flies in the face of a national trend of young people falling out of organised sport, a trend which is most pronounced in inner city areas. The project, therefore, represents a triumph for all the partners involved including the dedicated volunteers who run the league, Manchester FA, Manchester City Council and the other participating teams.

However, the league has not been without its teething problems and to help address these, the club are now looking to recruit a group of up to 5 volunteers who can help the league complete its first season and make plans for next season when we hope to have more teams in the league.

We need volunteers who can make themselves available for most Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm between now and the beginning of May at Turn Moss in Stretford. Volunteers will be required to have good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and assertively and be able to build relationships with team managers and players.
