FC United’s Nicky Platt has been released by the club and is now registered with Evo-Stik Premier League club Nantwich Town. Manager Karl Marginson felt that it was important for Nicky to get some regular games after being sidelined with injury. "Nicky has been out for three months with injury and needs to be playing regularly as he gets back to full fitness. Given the large squad we have, he is more likely to get those games at Nantwich at the moment," Karl said.
FC United have also signed 19-year-old former Oldham Athletic player Samuel Fitzgerald. A former captain of Oldham’s youth team, who also played 22 times for the reserves, central midfielder Samuel is an excellent prospect who will further strengthen the FC squad as it pushes for promotion.
In other player news, Cedric Krou has taken dual registration to play at Conference North club Droylsden FC as he seeks more regular games. FC United retain Cedric’s registration to play in our league.
