Barrels join the Euro!

We had a great start to the barrel collection last Saturday at the Matlock game when 100 euros were exchanged for £100 by our esteemed currency dealer, which boosted our total collection to £408. When emptied by the buckateers, there were quite a few individual coin bags that looked as if they had been saved up over the summer months. Also another 40 euros, mostly in smalll change, was totted up and will be exchanged for a future collection. With the season hardly started we are up to £699 in the barrels and buckets. Magnifico.

The Pound for the Ground winning number was 0019 (sold by Stewart) and up to press still hasn’t been claimed, so check your pockets, wallets and purses to avoid missing out. £745 tickets were sold, therefore £200 to the winner and £545 into the Development Fund.

Lest we forget, our next home game is at Stalyvegas next Sunday against Hednesford, a true six-pointer so early in the season. As per usual some of the barrels will be making the trip across town and the PFTG team, in their shiny new pink bibs, will be selling tickets so be sure to stop them and buy yours to keep us on track to that shinny new ground.
