Course You Can Malcolm

Course You Can Malcolm will open its doors as usual before this Saturday’s game against Chorley. You can arrive any time after 12, and once inside you’ll be ensconced in Manchester’s most welcoming and hearty independently organised pre-match entertainment.

Music fans that also happen to be fans of social or political philosophies that reject repressive hierarchies of power, will again be properly well catered for as Manchester’s own Akoustic Anarky are running amok for the day, bringing with them two bands and a DJ. The highly-regarded and long-sought-after Beat the Radar and Advances in Mathematics will be playing a set each from around 1ish, accompanied by the irrepressible DJ Lego;

The usual fayre will be provided to keep you well nourished, including quality bottled beers, guest cider and Westwells tater ash, cheese and onion pies and wimberry charlottes. Lettuce Leave will be serving up the increasingly popular anti-fascist kettled veggie hot dogs and home-made pizza, and Tea Earn will be pouring out all your tea, coffee and hot chocolate favourites.

Last week saw a challenge to Margy’s mantle of the worst joke teller of all time, with someone attempting to follow in the doctor-turned-comedian footsteps of Harry Hill with topical mandolin-based jokes, but fear not, we can assure you no such incidents will be stood for this week. Solemnity will as usual be brought to bear on proceedings with This Team Is Sheet, brought to you - by continuing demand - by The Two.

All the CYCM’s so far this season have been lockouts, so get there early. Entry is open to FC United members, with members able to sign in one guest each, and new members can join at the door to gain entry. All money spent inside goes to the club, and gets us that bit nearer to home...
