DF Barrels on tour again...
Two of our beloved green barrels travelled to the AGM last sunday, and judging by the amount collected, members were appreciative of their presence.
A grand total of £270 was collected on the day, including £105 from a raffle.
The raffle, for a hamper of home made preserves, was organised and the prize donated by John and Liz Murray. The hamper was claimed on the day by one lucky lady, and we thank John and Liz for their efforts. They will be selling some of their excellent honey, jam and wine in december, and proceeds to the DF fund, so look out for a future announcement.
Also in the barrels was a nice smattering of US dollars, Roumanian Lei and some Euros; all will be exchanged in due course and the equivalent amount in UK currency put back in the barrels at a home game.
Magnificent effort all round.
