Turnstiles at FC United home games

FC United operate separate turnstiles for each category of supporter (adults, concessions, juniors and season tickets). The signs above each turnstile indicate which categories are accepted. This makes the turnstile money accountable and is in line with other stadiums of the same size.

The club understands that some families with very young children do not want to be separated as they go through the turnstile. To avoid any such problems, turnstile 19 on the Manchester Road End is a mixed turnstile, accepting all categories, including season tickets. This is to allow groups of supporters who do not want to be separated, for example young children and their parents, to go through the same turnstile. This is a quiet turnstile opened especially for this purpose.

For supporters wishing to go in the Main Stand, turnstile 10 admits both juniors and concessions as standard and will admit family groups that do not want to be separated.

Any such families where the parents are paying cash or using a season ticket and have very small children paying cash can use this turnstile. This turnstile is operated by two volunteers, which helps with accurately recording the breakdown.

However, turnstiles 10 and 11 are next to each other so for most families it is reasonable that they can be separated.

The ability to take any category is strictly limited to turnstiles 10 (Main Stand) and 19 (Manchester Road End) and means that the other turnstiles will balance correctly.

Please refer to the Home Matches page for full details of the turnstile arrangements at FC United home games at Gigg Lane.

Please contact turnstiles@fc-utd.co.uk for further information or to volunteer (however occasionally) as an operator.
