Pies versus backgammon...

This Week’s News

This week dear listener we don’t know whether to laugh or cry, really we don’t. The late FA Cup equaliser from Woodley Sports over the weekend was indeed bad news in more ways than one for FCUM Radio; as it meant a midweek replay game is now on the cards for Tuesday.

Why is this such bad news, other than the obvious? Well the FC Live team just so happened to have arranged a backgammon evening for that night and that’s had to be scrapped now, thanks FC! Just one night that’s all we were after and look what we are having to do now... but then again!

It quickly became apparent to the FC Live team whilst throwing furniture around in a rage on Saturday about this cancelling of the backgammon night, that on Tuesday instead we’d have to go Glossop to cover this FA Cup Replay, and what’s in Glossop dear listener? Only the best pies in the whole universe! Every cloud! So if you’re unable to attend Tuesday night’s replay against Woodley Sports live from pie-mecca in person, why not tune into FC Live, it’s going to be delicious!

In other news, in a front to the notion that you should never ever meet your heroes, the now famous Miss Malice granted an audience to Stevie D and Doh this past weekend. Now at time of writing, this newsletter has no idea how things went, but one can only assume the worst. To find out how it all went, tune into The Show With No Name at 4pm Monday to Friday.

Also this week, Rockin’ John Cron (official King of The Afternoons) has been signed off on holiday, an investigation has taken place with Marv pointing at Ben and Ben pointing at Marv, but whatever the case, the holiday form was indeed signed off. So, in Dadrock’s place this week, we have a special treat for you all, a collection of FC Live Replays where FC United actually won! That’s right. John will hopefully be back next week. Enjoy your break sir!

And while we’re on the subject of our shows here on your station, just a reminder, that all of our volunteer DJs and presenters can be contacted via email and love reading what you have to say. So help yourselves and please tune in when you can, http://www.fcumradio.co.uk/djsshows/the-voices/
