UPDATED: Season Tickets now on sale

Members have again voted to implement a ’pay what you can afford’ season ticket scheme, under which supporters get to place their own ’value’ on the price of a season ticket.

The response in past years has been excellent and the campaigns undoubted successes, achieving everything that it was designed for, namely empowering supporters to take collective responsibility for the finances of the club, recognising that some supporters were feeling the financial pinch, whilst others may be able to pay a little more.

Ahead of the play-offs at the end of last season we asked supporters to pledge two amounts, one based on getting promotion and one based on remaining in our current division. The responses received so far have been very encouraging. If finances allow, the Board intend to invest some of any increased revenue in the team, but we will not jeopardise the long term health of the football club for short term success. This balance is sometimes a difficult one, but the beauty of our club, and indeed this scheme, is that it allows us all to shape that policy.

The average price paid for season tickets last year was approximately £160.

Supporters will understand that we cannot afford to give season tickets away and like all clubs we need a degree of security so a minimum price for adults and concessions of £90 will be asked, though if anyone finds themselves in particular circumstances that they cannot afford that amount, they are free to contact the club to discuss the matter.

Season tickets cover 21 league games but not cup or playoff games.

In effect concession season tickets for over 60s/the unwaged will be the same as the £90 minimum price for all adults. Those supporters in this category are invited to make a donation, if affordable, along with all other adults. The minimum price for under-18 season tickets will remain at £21.

The system only allows payment in full, therefore any supporter who would prefer to pay a deposit now and the remainder later in the summer they are advised to either ring the office on 0161 273 8950 who will take the deposit payment over the phone.
