Scott, a member of our youth team who has made two first team appearances, has been named in the 18 man squad after impressing during a series of recent trials at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

FC United manager Karl Marginson knows Scott through his role as Head Coach at The Manchester College, where Scott is studying for an NVQ in Exercise and Fitness.

And Margy has been impressed by the youngster, he said: "Scott’s performances and attitude to both training and matches has shown him to be an outstanding talent, not only within the football spectrum but also in his everyday life.

“He is a pleasure to coach and if he continues to show the same endeavour he will surely make a success of any opportunities that are presented to him."

Scott’s first match for English Schools is set to be on the weekend of 28-30 January against Loughborough University before the squad competes in various International fixtures throughout the rest of the season.
