Charity friendly versus Irlam tonight

As a fundraiser following the recent gas explosion in Irlam, FC United will play a friendly against Irlam FC this Thursday, 25 November 2010, kick off 7.45pm.

The proceeds from this game will go to help those affected by the explosion, which destroyed a number of houses quite near to Irlam FC. Their Silver Street ground was used as a base for the emergency services to coordinate their efforts. Details here.

Irlam’s manager is ex FC United player, Ryan Gilligan and he’s being assisted by another of our old boys, Joz Mitten.

This game is being played instead of a full training session before the squad heads off to Brighton to continue our FA Cup adventure, so please come along to cheer the boys on their way. We might have some extra celebrating to do on the night, because the council meeting on the afternoon of 25th includes our planning application for Ten Acres Lane.

The friendly will be played at Silver Street, Irlam, Manchester M44 6JL

This game will be pay on the gate. Admission prices are as follows:
£5 adults
