Be a part of FC United

The interest in FC United has rocketed following the sensational FA Cup first round victory against Rochdale.

Our website is used to heavy visitor numbers and last month our hosting company asked us to upgrade our server as we were affecting the performance of other sites. That request followed the launch of our Community Share Scheme and a surge in visitor numbers to 7,000 - 8,000 per day.

We may have to upgrade again after the website crashed twice over the weekend as the number visitors to the site approached 30,000 a day.

Membership numbers passed last year’s total sometime on Sunday and we now have almost 2,500 members.

The response has been tremendous but if we are to turn this into something more than a passing phase in our development we need to press on with our plans for a ground of our own at Ten Acre Lane and that means people backing the club with the Community Share Scheme so if you want to see fans have a say in the way football is run please consider purchasing Community Shares.

Whilst last Friday’s victory was a sensational result for FC United it was also an endorsement of fan ownership everywhere. We have received congratulatory messages from fans and officials at: Chester, AFC Telford, AFC Wimbledon, and Scarborough Athletic.

FC United supporters showed on Friday night what can be achieved if fans are given the opportunity to contribute to football as fans and not customers. So, if you have not yet joined as a member, click here.

If you want to see community facilities developed for the community in Newton Heath, buy Community Shares here.
