...... A day in the sun is a day full of fun.

Thanks to everyone that came along to the FC Family Fun Day on Sunday - twas a right treat of day. The sun was shining, the FCUM Radio speakers were singing and it proved a real success with the local community who turned out in their masses to see FC’s plans for the new ground at Ten Acres Lane.

Don’t forget - this Tuesday (29 June 2010), come on down to Retro Bar on Sackville Street in Manchester for the FCUM Radio Summer Proms Vol II. All the proceeds are going straight to the FC United Development Fund. There’s a whole heap of fundraising activities as well as some brilliant, local music from Dan Melrose, Dead Celebs and San Juan Boundary Dispute. See you there.

Back with their critically acclaimed shed-based show, Swampy & Pace are here with insight, interviews and current events. Will they make it out of the dungeon this week?


- Dadrock & Dance (11:00)

Following regular slots on Radio Caroline and manchesterismusic.co.uk, FCUM Radio now host Rockin’ John Cron’. RJC will be playing classic rock n roll and plenty of foot tapping favourites. Join John for two tracks of the same name - different song.


- The Funktion Room (13:00)

Martin Abrams brings you an hour of quality funk and soul from across the decades. Features include The Noises From Next Door, Go Funk Yourself and This Dub is My Dub.


- The Michael Ward Hour (14:00)

Michael continues his reviews of his pick of this year’s festivals as well as his Album Of The Week and a Turn It Up To Eleven track. Tune in for modern music with folk & electronica from across the globe.


- Freestylin’ With Finton (15:00)

Finton packs an hour with Modern Soul and Hip Hop favourites from across the decades. He also graces the airwaves with his Three to Play What I Want - Any Old Time feature, which is three rather tenuously linked (yet superbly selected) favourites of Finton’s.


- FCUM Radio Gig Guide (16:00)

The last word on this week’s live entertainment in Manchester covering gigs at all main music venues and details of musicals/shows and plays in our beautiful local theatres. Marv also brings details of some stand-out festivals which open later this week in the UK and further a field.

- Hidden Gems (17:00)

With his feet rooted within Soul and Motown, tune in to Scott Taylor’s Hidden Gems to hear some rare tracks as well as a Featured Artist and Make Way For The Original.


- The Roost (18:00)

- Downtempo Sessions (22:00)
