Friendly v Chester FC, Wednesday 11 August, k.o. 7.45pm

Now that the newly reformed Chester FC have been placed in the Northern Premier League Division One North (full story here) it’s given us the opportunity to plan a fantastic fans-owned friendly on Wednesday 11 August 2010. We’re thrilled that the later start to the Northern Premier league programme means we have time to play a friendly between our two clubs. FC United’s manager, Karl Marginson, is also looking forward to the match and said "I’m more than happy to add Chester FC into our list of friendlies. It should be a wonderful game".

A Chester representative agreed "It’s great news that FC United will be joining us for a pre season celebration of two clubs owned by the fans, and judging by our experience of the Youth United Day that Chester fans attended last season, it’s sure to be a great atmosphere at the Deva Stadium, and we look forward to hosting FC United’s fans who I’m sure will travel in their numbers on the evening, all are welcome!"
