Development Fund Gala Dinner Evening

FC United of Manchester is currently putting together a programme of events and initiatives which will give Reds of all ages and budgets the opportunity to help raise the necessary cash to get to our own ground in Newton Heath. One such event is a Gala Dinner Evening which is planned for Spring 2011.


This event is in the early planning stages but the idea is that it will take place at a city centre location and will feature three main speakers, including a Development Fund patron (TBC), an after-dinner speaker and one other act or speaker. The event will also feature a raffle and auction and will be marketed specifically as a fund-raiser for the club’s Development Fund.


The intention is that by targeting the business community and more well-to-do supporters of the club we will raise a substantial amount of money for the DF and bring our move to Newton Heath a bit closer. Tickets are expected to be in the region of £50 per person, including a three-course meal and entertainment, and we are looking to fill about 40 tables of 10.


We appreciate that this kind of event is possibly outside of the budgets of many supporters. If match-going FC fans do want to attend we are looking to offer a staged payment plan, which would allow people to pay for tickets in the few months running up to the event.


If this kind of event is not your cup of tea or is not affordable then don’t worry, there will be many more ways that you can help the club realise it’s ambitions for Ten Acres Lane. If you are interested in attending this event, either as part of a branch, on behalf of a company or just a group of 10 or so mates, then we are looking for people to show their interest by emailing developmentfund@fc-utd.co.uk - it is important for us to gauge how many tables we can fill ASAP so we can book an appropriate venue so please let us know if you’re interested.
