EGM Sunday 23rd May - agenda and information

An Extraordinary General Meeting has been called for Sunday 23rd May 2010. The meeting will start at 12:30pm, registration starts at noon.

The EGM will be held at The Manchester College, Openshaw Campus, Ashton Old Road, Openshaw, Manchester, M11 2WH

The formal notice, notes and ballot forms have been sent to members either by post or email.

A number of emails do not reach some recipients due to incorrect email address details. If you haven’t received your notice please contact the office or login to the members’ site.

Members can download the Notice of the Club’s General Meeting, Explanatory Notes, Proxy Form and Ballot Form from the members section on the official website.

If it’s your first time accessing the new site please request a new password first by entering your email address in the lower form. Once received, go back to http://fc-utd.co.uk/login.php and enter your username and new password. You will find documents in the membership website.

There is just one resolution being presented at this meeting. It is to ratify the rule changes vote that took place on Sunday 25th April to comply with rules set by the FSA. The 50% turn out and 75% majority strictures do not apply this time as a simple majority is all that is required.

Following the vote there will be a members’ consultation session which will cover ground development, design, local consultation, events, finance and fund raising.

Arriving by Car:

From the M60

Leave the M60 at junction 23 and follow signs for the A635/A6140 towards Manchester passing New Smithfield Market (2.5 miles) on your left. The college is accessible via Odell Street on your left (2.9 miles) directly opposite the Legh Arms Hotel. If you reach the junction with the A6010 Alan Turing Way, you have just gone past the college.

Arriving by Bus:

From City Centre (15 minutes)

On buses that go along Ashton Old Road (219) ask to be dropped off at Openshaw College. The bus stop is directly opposite the college.

On buses that go along the A6010 (53 & 54) ask to be dropped off on Pottery Lane near Openshaw College. Access the college through Whitworth Street.

Arriving by Train:

From Piccadilly Train Station (10 minutes). From Manchester Piccadilly Train Station, take a train to Ashbury Station. On leaving Ashbury Station, turn left and take the first right turn onto Whitworth Street. The college is straight ahead.
