Game off, Son of Big Coat Day on

Saturday’s scheduled fixture against Bradford Park Avenue at Gigg Lane has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The League has issued a statement which allows home clubs, where there is no prospect of playing on Saturday, to call games off from 9am the day before. This morning the pitch at Gigg Lane was still covered in snow and parts of the ground frozen beneath the sheets. Therefore the game has been postponed.

Son of Big Coat Day

We will still be holding a collection for supporters’ unwanted coats and warm clothing. Homeless organisations, Boaz Trust and Mustard Tree will bring their van again for the collection between 1pm and 3pm.

In such atrocious weather conditions it is even more important that we go ahead with the coat and warm clothing collection to get the donations to the needy of Manchester.

Donations can also be delivered to Big Coat Day c/o Mustard Tree, 110 Oldham Road Manchester M4 6AG at any time from 11th January to 15th January between 9am and 5pm.

FC United fans can also bring their contributions to the club offices at any time between 9.30am and 4.30pm during weekdays up to 15th January.

The Megacabin will be open on Saturday from 12 noon until 3pm.

However, we will have limited stock available as the majority was removed to enable us to do an inventory of all new products and photographed to add to the online store.

Normality will be resumed at the next home game.
