Retford change of venue - updated

We were informed by the league that the pitch at Retford’s Cannon Park ground has been deemed unsafe to play and our fixture on Saturday 22nd August 2009 will not be played at Cannon Park.

Retford United were told by the league that a suitable venue needs to be sought before noon on Friday 14th August 2009.

Further to this announcement Retford United made a request to the league for a further ground inspection, which will be held on Friday 14th August at 11am. Retford United understand that if they fail the inspection they must immediately make plans to have our fixture on the 22nd August at an alternative venue.

We would like to apologise to supporters for inconvenience caused. We would also urge supporters not to make any travel arrangements until the new venue is announced.
