200 yards RIGHT OF ground away FROM town centre.
This JW Lees pub IS big AND roomy AND has reasonable car parking. Carl has had a chat WITH the bar staff AND they ARE expecting FC United supporters TO be turning up but "I’m NOT quite sure they know what TO expect"??.

Old Porter House ON Stamford New Road ( 0161 928 5605)
Opposite the Metro/Bus Station AND about a 10 MIN walk TO ground. OK but can be a BIT confined. There IS a larger upstairs.

Railway Inn ON Stamford Street (0161 926 9999)
This IS a Marstons pub AND IS a 15 MIN walk TO ground, 300 yards RIGHT OF the Metro station.

In addition, Mark Kelly (Jake) the landlord AT the Wheatsheaf IN Altrincham has asked TO let people know he will be making FC United fans especially welcome FOR the game against Holker AT Altrincham ON 25 February. Jake IS a lifelong Red AND now an FC United supporter. The pub has a NUMBER OF FC United regulars (AS well AS former United greats Denis Irwin AND Norman Whiteside). He will be opening AT 10am AND will be serving breakfasts AND offering discounts ON food FOR FC United fans. The pub itself IS ON the main A56 ON route FROM Sale INTO Altrincham opposite the George & Dragon. It has a large beer garden TO the rear. Families ARE welcome, serves food, big screen TV etc, AND IS about 15 minutes walk TO the ground via the town centre.
