Trio miss trip to Nantwich

The UniBond’s leading goal scorer, Kyle Wilson will be unavailable for the trip to Nantwich on Saturday along with Carlos Roca and Dave Neville as FC United look to move up to third position.

Victory would leapfrog the Reds beyond the Dabbers and up to third as North Ferriby United have a cup tie this weekend but they must set about their task without three of their summer signings due to injury and suspension. Wilson suffered a knee injury in last week’s win over Guiseley, Roca has a hamstring strain and Neville must serve a one match ban for picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.

Danny Williams is ready to rejoin the squad after breaking his leg in October and will be champing at the bit to play but so too will Papis Dieyte, Tunji Moses and Jamie Baguley. Tommy Turner, who scored last week’s dramatic winner, is likely to start but manager Karl Marginson is still undecided who to put alongside the former Bacup striker.

He said: "Kyle’s injury is nothing major but he won’t be involved this week. I’ll have to have a think about how best to break down Nantwich’s defence - we’ve got a few different options with Tristam (Whitman), Jamie Baguley and Jerome (Wright)."??

Rob Nugent is also available again following breaking his nose in the defeat to Witton two weeks ago but he may find it hard to displace Adam Tong who made an impressive debut in the centre of defence just hours after joining from former rivals Bamber Bridge.

Margy said: "Tong was excellent last week. He’s strong, he’s composed and I’m sure he’ll be a really good signing for the club. We’ve now got three top, top centre backs which is a great situation to be in. If any of them have a niggle or a knock which often happens then we’ve got a great player waiting to step in."??
