FA Cup. Well Done and Good Luck (includes AFCW radio link)

FC United would like to pass on our congratulations to both Eastwood Town and Curzon Ashton who both had great wins in the 1st Round Proper of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Curzon beat League Two side Exeter City in a dramatic game that has received a lot of national coverage since. Eastwood, who currently lie one place above us in our division, got less attention, but their efforts also deserve recognition.

Eastwood’s reward for their victory over Brackley Town is a home tie against the winners of tonight’s game in which our old mates AFC Wimbledon take-on Wycombe Wanderers in what is their biggest FA Cup game since they won the competition by beating Liverpool 20 years ago.

The game promises to be an emotional one for all their supporters and everyone at FC United wishes them all the best and hope they get the result they undoubtedly deserve.
