The Armchair Army Grand Day Out

Those of you lucky enough to regularly attend the matches may not be aware of an intrepid bunch of FC followers spread the length & breadth of Britain and overseas who huddle around the speakers of their pc each matchday to listen avidly to the dulcet tones of our very own FC Radio team as they recount kick by kick the on the pitch action.

For most games we have listeners from all over Great Britain, the United States, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Holland, Thailand, the Ukraine, and even Equatorial New Guinea!

Whilst we all enjoy the online banter of Keg, Swampy, Brian and co from the comfort of our easy chairs, it has been decreed that the last home game of the season, Saturday 25th April 2009 v Bradford Park Avenue, to be ’The Armchair Army Grand Day Out’.

On the day, we hope as many of the regular listeners as possible will get themselves to Gigg Lane to cheer on the team, meet the radio and tv crew in person, put faces to forum names, sample the atmosphere of CYCM’s and the FC United matchday experience in general. Yes, I know, day-trippers, clutching their mega-cabin goodies and all that.
