Margy is looking forward to seeing you on Saturday

This Saturday the club are hosting an open day at Burnage Rugby Club in Heaton Mersey where supporters can watch the team in pre-season training. There will be the opportunity to see our new signings in action, meet up with the players, and have your photo taken with them and the trophies.

Margy had this to say:

"It should be a cracking afternoon. It’s one of the best ideas the club has had in my opinion and in some ways I can’t believe we haven’t thought of it before. It is exactly what we should be doing and everything that this club is about. Supporters just don’t get access to the players at big clubs these days, where they operate often behind what seems like a fortress"??

"When I was a kid me and my mates used to get two buses to The Cliff to watch United train in the school holidays and have a natter to the players when we were there, but it’s just not possible these days. Hopefully this type of event on Saturday goes some way in addressing that"??

The Open Day is free admission, refreshments will be available and the clubhouse will be open, so bring along the whole family and your autograph book.

You can try to win one of our football competitions; hit the cross bar, ball juggling or if you fancy yourself as a bit of a Johnny Wilkinson, why not try your hand (or foot) in our rugby kick competition.

Plus there will be the opportunity to pre order the new blue kit plus membership and season ticket stall. A-Line boots will also be in attendance, offering a range of football boots at exclusive prices with every sale generating funds for FC.
