Tuesday night - it's all back to the Shirt Club

FC United face Radcliffe Borough again on Tuesday night giving us another opportunity to drink ourselves into our own ground. After raising more than £70 for the Development Fund last time out, supporters are once again being invited to take advantage of the Shirt Club’s facilities pre and post match.

As with last time, the Shirt Club will be donating 10% of the bar profits to the Development Fund and butties will be on sale with all food profits going to the Development Fund. There will be FC United DVDs on the big screen, top tunes as well as beer served at typical social club prices - £1.55 for a pint of bitter, £1.90 for lager.

The Shirt Club will open from 5.30pm and they are looking forward to another night of hosting FC United supporters. Organiser of the evening, Gary Peace said: "Everybody seemed to have a really good time last month before the Manchester Premier Cup semi-final and we raised a decent amount of money for both clubs. We’re looking forward to seeing as many people as possible down here on Tuesday. It would be great to raise over a ton for the Development Fund."??

If you have not been before, the club is situated on Hampson Street, opposite the Last Orders Inn car park (directions below) and is a not-for-profit club run entirely by volunteers. The evening is a great way of linking two like minded organisations and a fantastic mutual benefit for both clubs and the fans alike.

There is plenty of street parking available around the club and it is easily accessible by car and is just a short distance from the tram stop.

Directions:
Leave the M60 at junction 17, then at the roundabout take the exit onto the A56 (signposted Bury, Whitefield, Radcliffe) Stay in the right/middle lane and follow the road for about a mile through Whitefield.

Go straight over at the lights at the end of the bus lane, you will see Whitefield Metrolink stop on the right hand side. After about 100 yards (just past the Bulls Head) turn left onto Radcliffe New Road.

On Radcliffe New Road continue forward over the mini roundabout and straight over at the lights (about half a mile). Go straight over at the junction for Asda (which is on the left) and follow the road through 2 more sets of lights.

Once through the second set of lights you will see PR World travel on the right. Make a right after PR World travel and immediately before the Last Orders Inn into Hampson Street. The Shirt Club is on the right up a flight of stairs.
