Chorley Game Postponed

FC United regret to inform supporters that tonight’s game against Chorley has been postponed.

The Gigg Lane pitch has been covered with a double layer of frost sheets since Saturday but the frost has penetrated both layers. A pitch inspection took place at 11am this morning and the referee has declared the pitch as unfit to play.

Manager Karl Marginson’s initial reaction was unpublishable but he said: "This is unfortunate after a fantastic result at the weekend and we are disappointed that we couldn’t fit in a mid week game before this Saturday."

Margy went on to say: "We are remaining positive and our minds are firmly set on the Bamber Bridge fixture at the weekend.

We would like to apologise to our supporters for the inconvenience caused by this postponement and thank you for your continued support in this on-off season.
