Match Report
FC Utd U18’s scored twice in the last 2 minutes against Bootle ’A’ to snatch a win from the jaws of defeat. It brought memories flooding back of previous last minute wins against our ’friends’ from down the East Lancs Road.

Bootle took a first half lead courtesy of a smart finish by James Mea and it looked to have been enough to take all the points as Bootle’s sound defending kept FC Utd quiet until the last 2 minutes. Some good work down the right wing by Stephen Carson and then Danny Hume lead to a goal mouth scramble and Vidal Mike was there to poke the ball home.

Most would have settled for the draw but manager Chris Simms encouraged his players to push on, a last minute corner was met by an unmarked Vidal Mike and went in via the post and a defenders head for FC to claim a dramatic late win.
