FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’B’ team hosted their counterparts from City in the Community / Connell Sixth Form College in a friendly match on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Friday afternoon, and coasted to a fairly comfortable 5-0 win.
JERMAINE KITOKO opened the scoring for the Young Reds on 5 minutes, before JAIR DA COSTA scooped home a second on 23 minutes.
Two minutes later, Drayke Holland pulled off a fine save from the visitors’ number 10 to keep the score at 2-0 before JERMAINE KITOKO curled home his second of the game on 41 minutes to put the Young Reds 3-0 up at the interval.
LUKE ATKINSON then made it 4-0 on 68 minutes, this after a Johnnie Johnson effort had rebounded off the post, before ALFIE WALL rounded off the afternoon’s scoring with a calmly taken finish two minutes before the full time whistle.
