FC UNITED of MANCHESTER ACADEMY 'A' TEAM 3 iSPORTS FC SALE 5
FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team’s Tuesday afternoon pre-season fixture saw the Young Reds go down by 3 goals to 5 against iSports FC Sale on the Broadhurst Park 3G.
The visitors quickly took the initiative and opened the scoring with a close range finish from DYLAN WOODS after just 6 minutes.
On 11 minutes, a Nathaniel Egyiri through ball evaded the iSports defence which allowed full back TERENCE LUNT to ghost in at the far post and smash the ball home.
But the visitors were quickly back in front less than a minute later when LOGAN WARBURTON dispossessed a home defender before firing home.
On 31 minutes, it was 1-3 when Johnnie Johnson got caught in possession and DYLAN WOODS took full advantage.
Three minutes before half time, FARAH LLOYD pulled one back for the FC United Academy ’A’ team with a well struck effort after being set up by Jordan McMahon, to make the half-time score 2-3.
But any hopes of a comeback quickly receded when iSports FC’s DYLAN WOODS completed a personal hat-trick on 53 minutes with a low shot under ’keeper Fernando Mboke to make it 2-4.
Visitors’ substitute BRANDON STEVENS took advantage of gaping holes in the FC United defence to add a fifth on 72 minutes.
And although IAIA BALDE grabbed a late consolation for FC United on 77 minutes, iSports FC Sale held on for a deserved win.
